Working with Precuts

I really love to work with precuts, particularly jellyrolls, the 2 1/2 inch strips. I think this fabric is from the first jellyroll I ever purchased, because it is baby fabric. Now, the youngest grand baby started kindergarten this year, so that tells you something about how long I've had this jellyroll. I'm not sure what l'll do with it when I get it finished, but maybe it will be loved by one of them anyway - probably not one of the grandsons, since they are 9 and 11.

Here's a couple in-the-hoop embroidery projects I did for Christmas. I really liked working on those - very quick and easy. My least favorite part was stuffing them - and trying to get them smooth and even.

Catching Up

I've been gone from blogging for a while. Sometimes I'm in the mood to write and sometimes I'm not. Frankly, I've been rather busy with the newest member of the family. Annie is now about 9 months, and kind of in the toddler stage - getting into whatever she can reach - and CHEWING! Oh, dear, does she ever love to chew. I try to keep plenty of safe things for her to chew on, but she pretty much chews them all up. The one thing she can't destroy right off are the butcher bones I get at the grocery store. They are not the fresh kind but wrapped in plastic. Oh how she does love those, and they occupy her time for hours!! She's a sweetie and has pretty much taken over our hearts.
